Affordability at SportNation
You will no doubt have seen mention of ‘Affordability’, ‘Social Responsibility’ and ‘Safer Gambling’ a lot recently, on the tv, in the papers even from friends and family.

So what is Affordability, and why is it important,
and how do SportNation play our part?
The UKGC the regulatory body in charge of ensuring that gambling in the UK is safe and fair publish a list of guidelines and requirements that all operators must follow.
The UKGC and SportNation agree that the most important aspect of any operator’s business is to ensure that all customers are provided with a safe environment to play and are protected from gambling harm. How do we at SportNation protect you the customer?
From time to time we may ask you to provide some additional information such as a bank statement or a payslip.
This may seem like an intrusive request and we appreciate this but in doing so we are able to make sure that you as the customer are not betting with money you can’t afford to lose.
What do we do with your information?
The information you provide is used to ensure that by using our services you are not being exposed to the risk of gambling related harm.
We may also use this information to ensure that you are not receiving inappropriate marketing communications.
When will we request this information?
We will typically ask for this information early in your customer journey, though of course you are free to provide the documents at any time before this.
This will allow you to avoid any unnecessary delays later and will permit you to request higher deposit limits where it is appropriate to do so. You are also less likely to experience delays in processing withdrawals.
Why have other companies not asked for this information?
At SportNation we take a view that the best way to understand our customers is to have an open and honest dialogue. We can’t speak for other operators but we believe you chose SportNation for a reason and we are always looking to improve how we protect our valued customers.

If you have an account with us, you can control and manage what products you have access to. If you want to restrict your ability to play on either our Casino (which includes all slots, table games and live dealer) or Sportsbook (which includes all pre-match, in-play and virtual sports betting), you may activate our product blocking feature by sending a request to our Customer Support Team at email@example.com. Such request should specify whether you want to restrict access to Casino or Sportsbook. You should allow at least 48 hours from your request for the relevant product blocking to be implemented.
If you would like to remove a previously requested product blocking, this will be actioned at our sole discretion and in any event, such request shall be subject to a 7-day cooling off period before any product blocking is removed.
Activating a product blocking will not prevent you from occasionally receiving marketing communications related to this product. You can, however, manage your general marketing preferences from within your Account settings.
